Our parent company,GENXT, was founded in 2013 in Singapore and is a regional IT and mobile phone distributor of repute. Operating in 9 countries,GENXT has become the leading distributor and a preferred company/brand in the region for customers looking for to world-renowned mobile phone brands,IT products and consumer electronics. Singapore, the host of Generation Next Head Office,holds agencies for popular brands such as Apple, Dell,HP and HTC.
GENXT Sri Lanka Story
Generation Next Communication Sri Lanka commenced operations in July 2017. We have a strong distribution network of over 1,800 active retailers. We have been the authorized distributor for world-renowned mobile brands such as Apple and Xiaomi (MI) since 2018 and our parent company is also the distributor of Apple products for Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brunei, Bhutan, Myanmar, Mongolia, the Maldives,Laos, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Over the years, we have continued to expand operations in the region through our rich industry knowledge & strong partnerships.
Our state-of-the-art Apple service center is Located at Thimbirigasyaya Road, Colombo 5. Due to the high number of customer requests, we launched Genxt store and Genxtstore.lk in September 2021 to server our customers better. Genxt store allows customers to purchase original items at competitive prices and customers can also benefits from periodic promotions and other offers.

Generation Next Communications Sri Lanka has grown exponentially in the 4 years it has been in business in the country. Leveraging on the expertise of not only the Singapore-based parent company but on the talent of the local staff and management, we have come a long way since 2017. As the authorized dealer for both Apple and Xiaomi, we are in a very good position to provide excellent products to our customers. Being a company with a strong service-orientation, we are focused on providing our staff with international-standard training and ensuring that our products are of superior quality. This allows us to not only reach a significant portion of the country’s clientele but also to retain them. We are top of the mind for our clients because of the service we provide and our strong distribution network of over 1,800 active retailers. We have a special place in our hearts for sustainable business. To us, sustainable means that we take care of our people, whether staff or country. We have invested in training our staff so that they can provide better service, but also 90% of them have been promoted since first joining, which points to the level of empowerment they have experienced with us. Also, having other employee-focused skills development programs such as toastmasters and soft skills training has meant that our employee turnover is only 0.01.

We started with a lesser-known mobile brand in 2017 and have gone on to represent two of the top 3 global mobile brands in Sri Lanka. Generation Next Communications PTE Ltd Sri Lanka has been a game changer in Sri Lanka since our launch. We have gone on to 10 product ranges by 2021. As the authorized agent for Apple and Xiaomi, we are also the distributor of Apple products for Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brunei, Bhutan, Myanmar, Mongolia, the Maldives, Laos, Nepal and Pakistan, so we have a significant brand presence across the region. We are proud of what we have accomplished in the past 4 years. We are proud of our journey so far, but we would not us if we did not aim higher. We will continue to expand our operations in the region and to increase our local client base in future. We aim to diversify our product portfolio and grow our market share. We believe that when the company wins, the employee wins. This is why we consistently and constantly work towards empowering and training our employees to be better each day.
